Under his skilled hand, our car hummed happily as it sliced across the city of Amman. As the picturesque city unfolded right in front of our eyes, Anas (Anas M. Ariqat) who was behind the wheel chatted with us animatedly. Anas was our chauffeur cum guide for our Jordan expedition. Who will say we met him just a few minutes ago? Your first impression of him will be ‘Let me give him a hug’! Yes, he is that cute! (I got to give that to you Anas).
Boys and cars there is always a connection. And in the case of Anas, it is the story of a big boy’s big cars! His looks will deceive you so do not go for that. Behind the huge cuddly huggable self, there is a heart of a small boy hiding somewhere. Any conversation relating to his cars will immediately light up his eyes. He is not only knowledgeable about cars but to him, they are his friends. Besides his usual day-to-day work, he is passionate about car racing. And man! Those cars he races with, have to say are an impressive lot! His stories of escapades with cars can go on and on. And seriously all the stories he narrated to us seem to be straight out of a life of a boy who is passionate and downright adventurous. Be it getting stuck in the snow or being stranded in a lonely place surrounded by wild animals. Be it going on a solo excursion or with his cousins and friends, he has that touch of daredevil nature in him.
So yes, if you have Jordan on your next travel list, feel free to connect with me and I shall redirect you to Anas or you can find him on all social media https://linktr.ee/anas.eriqat with the same name. Anas made sure our stay in Jordan was memorable and I made sure I found a lifetime friend in that part of the world.
P.S. He always carries a licensed hunting shotgun with him. Do not forget to check out that beast, if you happen to meet him!
